  The Ethernet to serial converter is a small electronic device that converts Ethernet IP/TCP packets into serial data signals for bidirectional data communication. Two-way data communication, that is, the data packet can be transparently transmitted from the Ethernet port to the serial data port, and the data packet of the serial data port can also be transmitted to the Ethernet port. Why is it transparent transmission?Because in the transmission process, the data is not processed by the protocol, what data is sent, what data is received.

  What is the limitation of RS232 communication?

  The problem with RS232 communication is that it requires a point-to-point serial line connection for transmission, and the distance of the serial line is limited. This requires each instrument that communicates with it to be connected to a unique RS232 port on the PC using a separate serial port line. If you want to connect multiple devices to a single PC, you must install multiple RS232 ports on the PC.

  If the RS232 standard is to be improved, it will allow multiple connections over a single serial line, with no limit on serial line length, and will remain 100% compatible with all existing RS232 communication software.

  Is there a way to improve it?

  Fortunately, there is a very simple way to do this. Through the virtual serial port software, the original local serial port control function is extended, and you do not need to modify the original serial port program, you can still use it.
