5G LAN theory is a new feature defined by 3GPP specification in R16 phase. It is based on 5G network private mobile LAN service and 5G terminal access capability. It refers to providing flexible communication services, such as terminal data sharing or terminal separation, for group member terminals by establishing "groups" for enterprise terminals and bypassing load balancing equipment.Communication modes of point-to-point and point-to-multipoint transmission based on IP or Ethernet can be applied to the LAN.
In fact, 5G technology is used to group terminals into groups to form a large LAN network.
When the "east wind" of 5G does not blow to industrial applications, the networking and digital transformation of factories mainly depends on the "wired" WiFi "collocation to provide communication support for intelligent terminals. The limitations are self-evident-on the one hand, the factory environment is complex, the wired network routing is difficult to plan, and the deployment cost is high, which easily leads to too many cables and confusion; On the other hand,WiFi network has poor anti-interference and mobility. Meanwhile, the network space based on WiFi has no edge capability, so it can not undertake the potential fault analysis and rapid data transmission deployed in the edge nodes.
Specifically, in a factory connected by a wired network, the communication data signals on each console or each production line are reasonably arranged in advance according to the type and number of terminals to ensure that the bandwidth and transmission speed meet the system requirements, which means that it is difficult for the production line and a single workbench to be flexibly adjusted and configured according to the production needs.This is obviously difficult to adapt to the development trend of flexible production in the market.
1. Immediate communication: Consumers who add 5G LAN form a local area network, and users who add the same LAN can communicate with each other immediately. This is a very good effect, because when users communicate with each other, they can communicate directly without sharing through the website server.(At the present stage, there is no direct communication between the terminal devices, but the communication between the two terminal devices can only be achieved through the transfer of the network server);
2. Indoor space scalability: that is to say, consumers of 5G LAN can be distributed in different places, but not limited to the same building, or even a member of 5G LAN can be distributed in different cities;
3. Mobility: As 5G is originally the mobile Internet, no matter where the customer moves, the 5G LAN can be maintained continuously, and then communicate with each other;
4. Safety factor: Different types of 5G LANs can be isolated and are not easy to interact with each other. They can be protected in the layer 2 network, which is the same as the actual effect of VLAN protection.
5. Flexible LAN establishment: It can be added to the 5G LAN according to the customer's signature in the UDM to quickly establish a 5G local area network. Its greater value lies in the transformation of the production environment of the park and the transformation of the grass-roots network of production-oriented enterprises such as industrial manufacturing, port terminals, energy mines and so on.
6. Layer 2 sharing level: 5G LAN is applicable to layer 2 data forwarding and layer 3 data forwarding, especially the layer 2 sharing level, which can meet the requirements of many jobs in the layer 2 contract, but this capability is not available in the 4G network.
